Press and PR Intern

We are looking for an intern to support the Big Draw press, marketing and PR campaign. We are a small team, so there is scope for a wide range of hands-on-experience. You will gain invaluable insight into how arts organisations are run, while working on exciting projects.

Specific duties include:

· Answering requests from journalists for information and photos;
· Drafting and distributing press releases to targeted media;
· Contacting targeted media to achieve coverage;
· Monitoring press, broadcast and online coverage;
· Maintaining media contacts database.

Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ICT knowledge.
Interest in the visual arts and experience of marketing, or achieving media coverage would be an advantage.

We are offering a 2-5 day week (flexible hours), depending on individual circumstances, for three months.

There is good public transport close by; travel expenses will be reimbursed.


The Campaign for Drawing team

The Campaign for Drawing currently has a dedicated team of six people: Director (ft), Company Administrator (ft), Power Drawing Director (pt), Development Coordinator (pt), Administrative Assistant (pt), and Website Editor & Content Manager (pt). Student interns, volunteers, occasional freelance workers and external specialists give further support.
