With the Museum of Transport kickstarting the launch, an ambitious program of
Big Draw events took place across the Glasgow museums network - Burrell
Collection, McLellan Galleries, People's Palace and Winter Collection, Glasgow
Museums Resource Centre, Scotland Street School Museum and GOMA.

Led by artists Mark Campbell, James McLardy and Belinda Guidi at MOT, creating
line drawings while skateboarding proved a popular activity, while workshops
drawing trams and trains catered for those who preferred to remain static. The
same weekend, visitors to the Burrell's exhibition 'One Million Days in China'
were further inspired by Chinese artists exploring calligraphy on a grand
scale, accompanied by composer Kimho's music ensemble. Chinese Zodiac Animal
Masks and Fantastic Fans workshops for families were well attended; outreach
workshops were enjoyed by children at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at
Yorkhill. A Degas pastel workshop for adults, led by artist Allan Ramsey, was
so successful that it might become a regular part of the Burrell's Education
programme.
